The Wildfire organization consists of eight ELCA churches within our surrounding community ʹCross of Glory, Elim, Faith Lilac Way, First Lutheran Church of Crystal, Holy Nativity, House of Hope, St James, and Valley of Peace. The Wildfire coalition provides ministry and service to our joint congregations, the community, and the world. This group's collaborative efforts include joint worship opportunities, a paid parish nurse, confirmation activities, bible school opportunities, men's fellowship dinner, and various service projects such as EveryMeal and Families Moving Forward.

A Wildfire Task Force meets on a regular basis to continue adding ministry opportunities among the member churches including service projects, mission trips, a women's fellowship event, and more. The pastors that serve the eight Wildfire congregations meet monthly to envision new ways for the member churches to work together.

  • They gather with common goals to work together to become more than each congregation can be on their own.
  • Acknowledge that the Church isn't fully serving the wider community and that each church is unable to care for both their congregations and the surrounding neighborhood.
  • Recognize that the world is changing quickly, requiring they discover new ideas and actions to fulfill their calls to serve.
  • We celebrate the unique gifts that each congregation offers, hoping to use these gifts to move beyond their church buildings and focus on unique ministry that empowers and equips all people in the Wildfire community to lead full lives.
