We're so glad you want to come visit House of Hope! We worship each week at 10am on Sundays. Visiting a new church can be a little nerve-wracking. You might be wondering:
What's a service like? Our service is about an hour long. We have powerpoint projections with all the words to say and songs to sing. You are welcome to speak, sing, and pray as you feel comfortable, but you can also just be present.
What's the music like? We sing hymns out of the cranberry ELW that many Lutheran Churches use. We also sing newer songs. There's a lot of piano, a little organ, and we have a bell choir and singing choir.
How people dress? People dress fairly casually. Jeans are common. Sometime people dress up.
What about my kids? Kids are welcome here! We love to get kids involved in the service. Noises and movement are welcome. Kids bags outside the sanctuary can be used at anytime. There's an unattended nursery with many toys if families want a space outside of worship.
Can I take communion? Our communion table is open to all. We offer wafers, gluten free wafers, wine, and grape juice. If you'd like to take communion, you are welcome. There are also communion kits available if it is uncomfortable to get up from your seat during worship.
How can I get connected? Check in with our pastor, worship assistant (helping up front) or our music director!
Where do I park? There's a big parking lot out front!
